| ABACUS – Stone-filled gabion fencing with a new name | | Print | |
The new product of IGG introduces itself in a modern and down to earth way. The HASTEC stone-filled gabion fencing system ABACUS with its unusual mesh structure captivates by its continuous surface without any optical gaps. HASTEC ABACUS stone-filled gabion fencings merge with the natural environment and provide an exclusive visual appearance in the landscape while acting as ideal noise prevention and visual protection. The slim straight-line structure creates efficient partition while requiring only little space (depth = 25 cm). Special features are the merely 4.0 mm fine, vertical wires and the mesh size of less than 35 mm. This is unique in gabion constructions. The advantages are obvious: smaller mesh size = smaller stones = improved noise prevention. Less cavities, therefore no gaps caused by the jamming of larger stones. This system allows more versatility in the construction of individual elements. As HASTEC ABACUS stone-filled gabion fencings are assembled and filled at the site, numerous variations may be created regarding scope and individual design such as the type of stone and colour of the mesh. Due to the process of galvanizing after welding of the mesh, the stone-filled gabion fencing has a high stable value and longevity. As a visual feature all parts may be additionally protected by a coloured powder coating in RAL colours. Construction and assembly is very simple. The pillars are anchored in concrete foundations. Mesh and pillars are attuned to each other in mesh structure. They are connected by rods without screws, clamps or clips. The fence units are 2.47 m long and are available in the following heights: 1.0 m, 1.25 m, 1.50 m, 1.75 m, 2.00 m. A certified static is on hand and available to the customer or responsible contractor. IGG has registered the stone-filled gabion fence as a German utility model.
