| Innovation Award for Xylit Logs | | Print | |
Together with its co-operation partner Ökon Vegetationstechnik, the IGG Internationale Geotextil GmbH received GaLaBau’s Innovation Medal 2010. The commission for innovation in landscape gardening awarded the recently developed Xylit Logs. Xylit is a side product of brown coal production. For the first time, Ökon and IGG use the ligneous fibre in one meter long tubular nettings for adsorption of phosphor and nitrate in small lakes and waters. Due to their material properties Xylit Logs act as ecologically advantageous traps for nutrients and contaminants with which the use of chemical additives and filter systems can be reduced or even be avoided. Xylit Logs take effect after a few days. They are qualified for longterm use and easy to apply. If you want to learn more about the ranges of use and the effectiveness of Xylit Logs, please contact our specialists. We are happy to advise you!
