The 2^nd international workshop with the main topic “erosion control” hosted by the Roess Nature Group was held on the 5^th and 6^th of November. For two days the participants from 11 countries obtained the latest erosion control technologies and innovative solutions, everyone appeared highly satisfied with the event.

In cooperation with the experts from North American Green (USA), the world’s leading manufacturer of erosion control products, the specialists from the Roess Nature Group in Twistringen outlined the current state of technology in erosion protection. The particular attention of the event was directed towards Vmax³, a new and innovative three-dimensional erosion control blanket, which will be offered by the IGG International Geotextil GmbH – part of the Roess Nature Group – exclusively in Germany and Europe.

Vmax³ guaranties permanent erosion protection even in severe and extreme settings. The product consists of a permanent, three-dimensional corrugated reinforcement matting structure, incorporated with either natural organic or UV stabilised synthetic fibers. This specially designed structure provides permanent reinforcement on severe slopes, critical channels or high impact shorelines.

Furthermore the participants had the opportunity to visit the new production line for erosion control blankets of the Roess Nature Group. This machine was designed and constructed by A.H. Meyer, a manufacturer for special purpose machines - also part of the Roess Nature Group.
